I had SQL Server Management Studio 2012, and suddenly it gives me an error about SSMS."Cannot Find One or More Components. Please Reinstall the Application "
As per error message instruction, i tried to reinstall the SSMS but still error persist. I have found below solution which worked for me (on Windows 10 with SQL Server Management Studio 2012).
Follow the steps :
Step 1 : Go to Search bar - search Programs and Features - Select Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - Click on uninstall/change
Step : 2 Select Repair - Select Folder where your SSMS setup file located - Click OK
This procedure will install Microsoft visual studio shell isolated (re: associated to SSMS ) and was able to start SSMS without any error.
